She's got the moves...

Mia isn't quite dancing yet, but this is pretty close. She has figured out how to turn the VCR on and off and when she does, she can shake her booty!

How to pick out the perfect Christmas tree...

Take a cute munchkin with you. This makes it way more fun...
Pull each tree out and assess which one is the fullest.
You don't want a Charlie Brown tree...

Take a picture of mommy and baby since mommy is usually the
photographer and is rarely documented in any photos...
Have your husband haul it to your car while you enjoy the view...

So much going on...

We have had a really great month after the craziness of October. Lots has happened! The weather has just started turning chilly which has called for lots of hot drinks, chili, and indoor dates. We've enjoyed a few rare sunny days and have had fun letting Mia play in her new "car" from some friends. She's not tall enough to flinstone her way around, but still loves being pushed around...

The big girl in her car...
We also bought this not knowing...
...about this! Due June 2! It's already come in handy.

Goodbye nursing bras, hello maternity clothes...

Mia's first "Symphony at the Park"

This was Mia's first trip to hear the symphony. As you can see, she LOVES music! Been meaning to post this for a while, back to blogging!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

This is what my husband sang (literally) while crawling out of bed last week when we got our first cold spell. I've never met anyone who loves this season as much as he does. From November 1 through January 1, he's in utter bliss. He reminds me of Will Ferrell in "Elf." He's that close to running around the house and kicking his heels together cutting out snowflakes out of paper and singing Christmas carols. He has even found the one radio station that plays Christmas music 24-hours a day starting November 1. He's getting ready to string the lights on our massive leiland cypress in the front this weekend, just the beginning of the festivities around our house. Others include several trips to the Grovepark Inn to look at gingerbread houses and drink hot chocolate, Jenkins family Gingerbread house competition, Thanksgiving football game, looking at Christmas lights in Greensboro, or course shopping, family Christmas cards, filling in our Christmas book, and attending multiple Christmas parties with and without kids.
Here's pictures from the last hike of the year at Mt. Pisgah a few weeks ago, Blair's other favorite thing to do. Holidays, here we come!

Halloween Party!

While Blair was out of town last weekend, Mia and I had a great time at my friend, Kate's house with her two children, Jack and Ella. My friend Ali also came with her two children, Avery and Jackson. All of our husbands were out of town so it was a great excuse to dress everyone up and have an impromptu Halloween Party. We did everything from crafts, to dinner, storytime to playtime. Even us adults dressed up! Here are some classic pictures from the evening:

Best group shot. Love Ella as a lion!

My sweet little puppy dog! Ali and cowboy Jackson
The best part about this picture is Jack wearing my ski goggles with his dragon costume!
Avery was completely focused the whole story!
Don't you love her princess/fairy/flower costume!

Elvis lives!

I don't think these great hair moments are going to last forever.
So for now, I present to you Elvis!
