After a night at the ER for deheydration, Mia is starting to feel better. It's been a long 48 hours, but we're thankful to start to see her back to her old self...

Mia Katherine Jenkins is here...

We are so proud to announce the Mia Katherine Jenkins came into the world Monday night, August 3rd at 11:39pm. She is 5lbs, 14 oz and 18.9 inches long. We are learning about everything that comes with being a parent meaning we're exhausted but so in love. She is precious! We will post more pictures as soon as we have a moment, here are the highlights...

The belly progression...

Just for fun, here are some pictures from when I was 14 weeks until 27 weeks. I'm now 35 weeks and don't think it's humane for anyone to see pictures until this baby gets here.

Nesting...

So now that school is officially out and I can begin the countdown to baby Jenkins (sorry, no name yet), I feel free to finally start decorating, labeling and assembling. I know this "nesting" thing has really kicked in, but I have to say that I think Blair is "nesting" way more than I am (in his man way). In the last three weeks, he has painted the baby room, painted the living room, assembled all the furniture, powersprayed the deck, stained the deck, pulled weeds and put pine straw down. He's done all this inbetween his spring and summer grad school classes! I'm so lucky....

We registered!

I'm so thankful that when I was getting married and had to register, I had the full and complete help of my good friend, Jenny Ford. We went between Bed Bath and Beyond, Potterybarn and Williams Sonoma, scanning everything from dishes to bed sheets. If I had NOT had her help, we would be sleeping and eating MUCH less stylish.

Registering for a BABY was a much different experience. There were literally hundreds of items that lists would say we needed. Between the lists and opinions of moms who sometimes agree on what you need and sometimes don't, let's just say I guess I'll find out when this baby gets here what it REALLY needs and doesn't need. I'm glad it's over and hope we covered our bases....we'll see!

"I left my heart in San Francisco..."

We're visiting my parents in California and decided to take a trip to San Francisco.

Craigslist...

I have never sold anything on craigslist before. Not because I didn't want to, but I didn't really have much to sell. We've had a couch and bed in our garage for a year and last night I finally thought, "I'm going to try to see if we can sell this before we leave for the weekend." I posted it at 9:01 and by 9:30, I sold the bed. The following morning I had over 15 e-mails for the couch! Just 24-hours later and our garage is cleaned out, not to mention we have some extra cash in our pockets. That's what I call MODERN technology, love it!

It's a...

GIRL! Everything looked good on the ultrasound. She was really stubborn (takes after mom) and didn't want to reveal herself, but after some poking and prodding, the technician was sure it was a girl. Can't wait!

We find out this Friday!

That's right, this Friday we're going to have our "big" ultrasound to find out if we're having a little Blair or a little Cara. We'll keep you posted. I've taken some prego pictures and will put those up as well this week.
